Seasonal customer care consultants / telecollectors
Seasonal customer care consultants and telecollectors deliver excellent customer service on every call to every customer. Good attendance, productivity and ability to maintain confidential account information is the key to success. These positions are union represented. Employees in these seasonal positions have the same responsibilities as full-time but only work during busy times of the year. They are on layoff until the next season.
Customer consultants
Customer consultants deliver superior customer service to our customers – ensuring every customer is a satisfied customer. Responsibilities include identifying needs and providing energy-related solutions; handling various natural gas and/or electric emergencies; handling bill inquiries service calls, outage reports and data entry. These positions are located at our Pewaukee Customer Care Center.
Telecollectors
Telecollectors interact with delinquent account holders. Responsibilities include effecting solutions to collect past due amounts; negotiating payment arrangements; issuing reconnection orders; making follow-up calls; educating customers on the collection process; counseling customers on energy efficiency to reduce their energy bills; and maintaining account information. This position is located at our Downtown Milwaukee Customer Care Center.
Customer service representatives
Customer service representatives are responsible and empowered to take on questions and concerns from our customers. Responsibilities include investigating, negotiating and resolving customer concerns and disputes; and responding to customer questions/inquiries received from multiple channels. This position is located at our Green Bay Service Center.
Locators
Locaters keep our customers and the public safe by marking underground facilities that could be damaged by digging. Damage can cause injuries, fires, explosions or outages. Responsibilities include processing requests to locate and mark underground natural gas pipes, electric power cables and fiber optic facilities, and related customer service.
Gas utility mechanics
Our gas utility mechanics keep natural gas flowing safely and reliably to our customers. Responsibilities include installing and maintaining natural gas mains, services and associated components; providing communication with customers, contractors and others; completing required records and more.
Line mechanics
Our line mechanics keep the power flowing safely and reliably to customers throughout our service areas. Responsibilities include distribution and subtransmission line construction; maintenance and underground work; installation and removal of line equipment; service and street light installation and removal; transmission line construction and maintenance; substation construction and more. Line mechanics regularly work aloft on de-energized and energized circuits, using rubber gloves, sleeves, hot stick tools and other insulating devices as appropriate. Line mechanics must respond to a reasonable amount of callout as necessary to restore customer service.
